Efthyvoulos’s personal involvement spans across different sectors, including for example tenures on the boards of organisations such as the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce, charitable foundations, a business advisory committee to EU commissioners and the President of the Cyprus Republic, two Harvard University bodies, King’s College Hellenic Foundation, the Cyprus American archaeological Research Institute, and the ICSA foundation for Intelligence Culture and Strategic Analysis of the Italian Government.
In addition, he founded an International advisory committee for the President of Cyprus on matters of the Cyprus Economy. He holds the position of Honorary Consul General of Denmark to Cyprus since 1995 and serves as President of the George & Thelma Paraskevaides Foundation, which partners with the Shriners organization in the United States and has provided free treatment to 4,000 children to date.
Efthyvoulos’s contributions to business and society have earned him several distinctions, including the “Order of the Dannebrog” by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark, the “Ordine Della Stella Italiana” by the President of the Republic of Italy, and other awards from organizations such as The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association “AHEPA”.
